Break Out Performances at Rudy Skorupa

It was a race filled with sweat and tears- but only happy ones. At the Rudy Skorupa Invitational, on a blazing fast course, the girls cross country team took 6th place among both NCC and DAC schools. Going out with the lead pack, junior Kennedy Morgan accomplished her goal of breaking the school record- which was set by Angela Gonzalez in 2017- with an impressive 19:22.36 time and a 7th place finish. Audrey Zuzich knocked :26 off of her career PR, squeaking through the 21-minute barrier in 20:59. Althea Zinmer was close behind, finishing in 33rd. Elisa Cornejo also busted out a career PR with a 21:35. Emma Mueller found her spark, running the best time she's run since freshman year. Arabella Cipra made her way back to the course after injury, starting off strong with an solid 24:27 time. Carlie Cox set a PR in 25:22, while Esmeralda Ojeda and Baylie Smith both had course bests and also took off significant time from the previous week.
