Boys Track moves to 4-1 in the NCC

On Tuesday, the 29th, the boys track team used 37 personal best performances to go 4-1 thus far in the NCC season. The home team beat Kankakee Valley 81-52, and Andrean 98-34. In the distance events, the 4x800 team of noah Hernandez, Chris Epting, Ryan Sandberg and Chase Fajman placed first. In the 1600, Ryan Sandberg and Chase Fajman finished 2nd and 3rd, with Logan Sus running a personal best time and placing 4th. The 800 saw Chase Fajman get the win with a personal best time. Ryan Sandberg and Bennett Duffy went 1-2 in the 3200. In the field events, AJ Noel placed 2nd, and Mason Streit 4th in the pole vault. In shot put, Tyler Burroughs threw a personal best to place fourth. Izzy Sinnott, Aiden See, and Kariem Elbehiri had personal best throws. Lincoln Zerby finished 3rd and Logan Zellon 5th in discus. Logan, Tyler Burroughs and Tyler Wornhoff had personal best throws. Rocco Lopez jumped a season-best in high jump for first place. Anthony Layman and Gavin DeYoung placed 4th and 5th.Evan Marsiglio and Nate Balogun placed 3rd and 4th in long jump. Both had personal best jumps. In the 110 hurdles, Rocco Lopez and Elijah Pennavaria placed 2nd and 3rd. Elijah and Aaron Wilson had personal best times. In the 300 hurdles, Rocco and Elijah finished 2nd and 4th, with Rocco, and Aaron Wilson running personal bests. The team placed 1st, 3rd and 4th in the 100 meter dash, with Zumji Gofwen, Dominic Giglio and Ben Alvarado. Ben, Evan Marsiglio, Jacob Ferko, Anthony Layman, Mason Streit, AJ Noel, and Nate Balogun all ran personal best times. Zumji Gofwen and David Murphy took the first two spots in the 200, with Zumji, Connor Dixon, Kendall Ingram, Gavin DeYoung, Evan Marsiglio, Anthony Layman, Jackson Barshack, and Caden Rutkowski running personal best times. David Murphy and Tayceon Parkman placed 2nd and 3rd in the 400. Jerome Murphy and Keegen Clay ran personal best times. The 4x100 team of Dominic Giglio, Connor Dixon, Ben Alvarado and Zumji Gofwen placed first. The 4x400 team of Dominic Giglio, Rocco Lopez, Zumji Gofwen and David Murphy placed first. In the 4x4, Kendall Ingram, Elijah Pennavaria, Chris Epting, Logan Sus, Jerome Murphy, Chase Fajman, Noah Hernandez and Ryan Sandberg ran personal best split-times. The team will travel to Rensselaer on Friday the 2nd for the Gene Edmonds Relays.
