Boys Start NCC Season 2-0

The boys track and field team traveled to Highland and got convincing wins over host Highland and Munster. Despite the chilly conditions, there were plenty of excellent performances. One of the highlights of the night was the 4x100 relay team breaking it's own school record. This time it was Dominic Giglio, Ben Alvarado, David Murphy and Zumji Gofwen. Zumji Gofwen was a quadruple winner in the 100, 200 and 4x100 and 4x400 relays. Rocco Lopez (110 & 300 hurdles, 4x400 relay), David Murphy (400, 4x100 and 4x400 relays), and Ryan Sandberg (4x800 relay, 1600, 3200) were triple winners. Personal bests were achieved by Lincoln Zerby (shot put and discus), Logan Zellon (shot put and discus), Tyler Burroughs (shot put), Aiden See (shot put), and Alec Gorman (discus). AJ Noel had a personal best in pole vault. In the hurdles, Spencer Jackson and Aaron Wilson had personal bests in both the 110 and 300 meter hurdles, while Rocco Lopez had a personal best in the 110 meter event. In the sprints, Connnor Dixon and Kendall Ingram had personal bests in the 100 and 200. Zumji Gofwen, david Murphy, Gavin DeYoung, Braden Powell, Ben Baswell and Evan Marsiglio also had personal bests in the 200. In the 400, Gavin DeYoung, Ben Baswell, Joey Johnson, Caden Rutkowski, And Jordan Mercuri had personal best times. In the distance events, Luka Savich and Caleb Cornett had a personal best in the 1600 meter run. The team will travel to Chesterton for the Chesterton Relays on the 19th.
