The Hanover Central Wildcats are moving on! In a hard-fought battle, the Wildcats defeated Illiana Christian 62-55 to secure a spot in the IHSAA Sectional Semifinals on Friday night. Trailing 32-27 at halftime, Hanover Central came out firing in the second half, bringing energy on both ends of the floor to take control of the game. A strong offensive surge and tough defense helped the Wildcats outpace Illiana Christian and seal the victory. With momentum on their side, Hanover Central now sets its sights on a familiar foe—NCC rival Lowell. The Wildcats and Red Devils will clash in the Sectional Semifinals on Friday, March 7, at 7:30 p.m. at Kankakee Valley High School.
