Story by Luca Edgemon Bella Kopec is a varsity cheerleader at Hanover Central High School. When Bella is not studying, cheering, or working, she spends most of her time with her family. That could be going out to dinner with her grandparents, or taking her younger cousins out for the day. By herself, Bella spends much of her time reading or painting, specifically during the summertime. Besides that, she works at her family’s local banquet hall, Great Oaks. She has been cheering for a long time. In high school, Bella has been a varsity cheerleader all four years, and she absolutely adores it. “I’ve made lifelong friends that I get to do such cool things with, like stunting and going to competitions,” Bella exclaims. When she and her team members are not cheering for football or basketball games, they tend to work on their competition routines and work hard to compete for State. Universally, being a part of the cheer team has been Bella’s favorite part of high school. Notably, Bella has always envisioned herself being part of the law enforcement field. She wants to pursue a career in law enforcement after high school. “Protecting and saving as many people as I can.” Once she graduates, Bella plans to study something within the psychology field, or the criminal justice field. From there, she will carry on with her hopes of pursuing a career in law enforcement, taking her effort, and moving into the FBI community. Photo Credit: Nancy Novitski His Heart Photography
