On the 12th, the teams traveled to Rensselaer Middle School for the annual Rensselaer Invitational. In this meet the runners competed in age-group competitions with over 30 teams, including those from Lafayette. There were surprisingly few personal best times run on the day, but there were some very good performances, nonetheless. The 8th grade girls placed fifth in their race of 120 runners. Avery Blocker finished just out of medal contention, placing 21st. Kennede Eckart and Lilia Perez finished 25th and 30th, respectively. Harper Highland and Mia Alexander ran personal best times. In the 7th grade boys race, Anthony Miller placed 25th out of 152 runners. Kimmy Fruth had the top finish for the team, placing 2nd and earning a medal in the 7th grade girls race. The 6th grade boys race had 123 runners. Chino Williams earned a medal for 20th place medal. The 7th grade girls race had 117 runners. Kennedy Turner ran a personal best and earned a medal for 9th, and Gianna Gettemans placed 25th. If the races had been combined, the girls would have placed 7th out of 26 teams, and the boys would have placed 16th out of 26.
