Hanover Central Athletics proudly celebrated another incredible spring sports season during the 2026 Spring Sports Awards Night on Wednesday evening. Student-athletes, coaches, families, and supporters gathered together to recognize the hard work, dedication, and accomplishments of Wildcat athletes throughout the spring season. Congratulations to Hanover Central senior Claire Edgerton on being awarded the inaugural Bonnie Beamer Scholarship in the amount of $3,000. This scholarship was established in honor of Mrs. Bonnie Beamer, who dedicated many years to Hanover Central as a Physical Education and Health Education teacher. Claire’s hard work, leadership, and commitment have made her a deserving recipient of this special award. Congratulations to seniors Sienna Stilley (Basketball & Softball) and Dylan Bowen (Football & Baseball) on being named recipients of the prestigious Todd Szanyi Athlete of the Year Award. This honor recognizes student-athletes who demonstrate outstanding athletic performance, leadership, and sportsmanship throughout their high school careers. Sienna and Dylan have represented Hanover Central with excellence both on and off the field, and we are proud to celebrate this well-deserved achievement. Additional spring sports award winners were recognized for their outstanding achievements both in competition and in the classroom. Boys Volleyball earned the Spring Team GPA Award with an impressive 3.75 team GPA. Hanover Central also had numerous student-athletes named NCC Academic All-Conference, including JP Driscoll, Luke Kopec, Carly Campos, Malissa Butler, Kayla Carver, Kiarra Carver, Connor Dixon, Zumji Gofwen, Spencer Jackson, Elio Lopez, Rocco Lopez, Evan Marsiglio, David Murphy, Kyle Otworowski, Ryan Sandberg, Izzy Sinnott, Alyssa Baughman, Adeline McMahon, Claire Edgerton, and Ian Flores. In addition, Ian Flores, Gabriella Hernandez, Langdon Oldenburg, JP Driscoll, Kyle Otworowski, Connor Dixon, and Evan Marsiglio were selected to the NCC Scholar Athlete Team. Congratulations to all of these Wildcats for their dedication, leadership, and academic excellence!
