Softball (Girls V): Win 4-3

HC Varsity vs MARIST: Win (4 - 3) Hanover Central took Tuesday's game in dramatic fashion, with a 4-3 walk-off victory over Marist RedHawks. The game was tied at three in the bottom of the eighth when Brooklyn Oostman singled, scoring one run. Dallas Bowen homered in the first and sixth innings. HC opened the scoring in the first after Bowen homered to center field, scoring two runs. Marist took the lead in the top of the sixth, 3-2. Bowen homered to center field, which helped the Wildcats tie the game at three in the bottom of the sixth. Jillian DeYoung earned the win for Hanover. The hurler allowed five hits and three runs over eight innings, striking out eight and walking three. Oostman collected two hits for HC. Next up for Hanover Central is a game against Illiana Christian Varsity Vikings on Wednesday.
