Track & Field (Boys Varsity) Scores

The boys track team opened its NCC season with wins over visiting Highland and Munster. The team beat Munster 78-54, and Highland 113-19. The team had 23 team members score in the meet and had a total of 41 personal best performances. In the field events, AJ Noel and Mason Streit took first and second place. Noah Hernandez vaulted a personal best. In the shot put, Gio LaRock, Logan Zellon and Lincoln Zerby scored. Gio, Tyler Wornhoff, Aiden See, and Yurem Gutierrez had personal best throws. In the discus event, Lincoln Zerby and Tyler Wornhoff scored, with Tyler and Gio LaRock having personal best throws. Darrae Carter finished second in high jump with a personal best, and AJ Noel finished third. In the long jump, Evan Marsiglio and Nate Balogun finished second and third with personal best jumps. Alex Valdivia also had a personal best jump. The team won all three relays, putting up a 15-0 score on both teams. The 4x800 consisted of Noah Hernandez, Bennett Duffy, Chris Epting and Ryan Sandberg. The 4x100 team was Kendal Ingram, Braden Powell, Jacob Ferko, and Gavin DeYoung. The 4x400 was made up of Noah Hernandez, Jacob Ferko, Kyle Otworowski, and Gavin DeYoung. In 110 hurdles, Spencer Jackson placed first with a personal best time. Dawson Boyer also ran a personal best. In the 300s, Jackson Barshack and Lucas Johnson scored. Jackson, Lucas and Will Hernandez ran personal best times. In the sprint events, David Murphy had three first-place finishes and had a school record. He won the 100, the 400 with a school-record time of 50.11 (formerly Chris Mantel 50.25 in 2001), and the 200. Kyle Otworowski also scored in the 400. Braden Powell scored in the 200. In the 100, personal best times were run by Gavin DeYoung, Jacob Ferko, Kendall Ingram, Braden Powell, Eric Asante, Alex Valdivia, Kayden Hall, and Nick Balogun. In the 200, personal bests were turned in by Gavin DeYoung, Braden Powell, kendall Ingram, Kayden Hall, Nick Balogun, and Jordan Mercuri. In the 400, Mason Streit and Jordan Mercuri ran personal best times.
