HC Varsity vs Manteno High School (7 - 8) - Loss: Hanover Central could not hold onto the lead against Manteno on Friday and fell 8-7. HC got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Jillian DeYoung doubled, scoring two runs, Brooklyn Oostman grounded out, scoring one run, and Kaylee Blocker singled, scoring two runs. A fly out by Dallas Bowen gave Hanover Central the lead, 6-5, in the bottom of the fourth. Oostman hit a solo home run to center field in the bottom of the seventh for the Wildcats. Oostman and DeYoung each drove in two runs for HC. Blocker and Nora Edgerton each collected two hits for Hanover.
